If you are a Professional Patient who needs advocacy for their recovery

If you are a professional patient who has worked with any of our staff while we were at Ridgeview Institute, you have one of two choices to make. The first choice would be to remain with the advocacy program at Ridgeview. Many of you obtained treatment at Ridgeview, go to meetings at Ridgeview, and have small groups or therapists at Ridgeview. These connections suggest you should strongly consider remaining at Ridgeview. Bruce Hoffman, M.D. will continue his practice with impaired professionals and would be a good choice for an attending physician and physician advocate should you decide to remain within the Ridgeview program.

Note on Monday, 10 January 2007: The second choice would be to continue your group or individual therapy or advocacy relationship with Doctors Earley or Fishman. They are continuing to see patients and advocate for professionals, helping them along the path of recovery. Doctors Earley and Fishman have moved to Talbott Recovery Campus to increase their focus on the treatment of the impaired professional. Talbott Recovery Campus will welcome professionals patients who have made a careful decision to continue their advocacy with Doctors Earley and Fishman. The processing meeting for patients who wish to continue in Dr. Earley's Caduceus group met at 5 pm on Wednesday, 10 and 17 January 2007 at Talbott Recovery Campus. As of January 23rd, this meeting will now be held every Tuesday from 5-6pm, to be followed by the TRC professionals groups (Caduceus, etc.) from 6:15-7:30pm. Our apologies for any confusion on this matter.

Past advocacy patients may transfer at any time. Each week, we will gather in the main lobby before the meeting. The current plan is to discuss and answer any questions about continuing care at TRC, and then move people who want to transfer to TRC into small group therapies and Caduceus groups at TRC. The Talbott Recovery Campus aftercare is comprised of:

This continuing care is based upon the program we started at Ridgeview 15 years ago. Transfer patients will need to sign a contract on Talbott's forms. We will pro-rate your time in aftercare appropriately. Call Brittany if you have any questions 678-251-3127.

Some of you have asked if you can continue to see Dr. Earley and remain in Ridgeview's groups. Ridgeview has informed us that this will not work with their system. This means, in effect, that you have to choose the system or care provider with which you would like to remain.

If you are a current patient

We will continue to care for our patients during this transition, as follows:

If you would like to enter treatment or refer a new patient to any of us

During the next several weeks, each of the clinicians will have different schedules:
